15 días / 2 miradas, my experience.

In January I made a post about this collaborative project called 15 dias / 2 miradas (15 days / 2 looks) created by Arlette Montilla, which consisted in portraying the Venezuelan's daily life outside the country and each participant has to take one photo for 15 days. Then she will try to look for similar situations for a comparative of our lives.

From April 17 to May 1 it was my turn, I believe our results were pretty interesting. A lot was happening in these 15 days so I had some cool stuff to document. I loved the challenge, and it seems that I can't stop taking daily pictures.

My life lately... (Part 2)

This is the beginning of a great year because:


 1. I changed my glasses. 

2. My mom visited along with her husband, so much to do so little time.

3. She brought a lot of awesome gifts from friends, delicious candy, food and rum

Did I tell you it was a lot? 

4. It was our anniversary, which we enjoyed at "Los Amigos Invisibles" concert

 5. And lastly we moved to a new better place. I'll post some pics soon.

My life lately... (Part 1)

It has been a couple of months since I last wrote on this blog, and now that I have time to finally dedicate myself to it, and I wanted to tell you what have I been doing lately. My life is not that exciting but I want to write this post in parts so I have a reason to write again :)

I'm going to start with Melissa Araujo, she is a Brazilian fashion designer who contacted me to collaborate with her. I am taking pics of her style for her blog, we have been meeting frequently, and I would like to show you some of my work.

About fall fashion

I wanted to make a post about my fashion clothes, and because yesterday was a sunny day I guess it was just perfect. I've been trying to play with layers mainly because I don't melt. I've done some experiments with my clothes, some work some doesn't but that's fashion right? Trying to get to the sweet style spot.

If you are interested to know I'm wearing a forever 21 dress which I choose to wear it as a dress, Zara's sweater, my grandmother sew this shirt for me, from this tutorial, Roxy boots, top shop tights. And Peperita's accessories.

Turning 25! {15 days}

I can't even explain the expression of joy in this pic.

Today I'm turning 25 y/old a.k.a a quarter of a century. I don't have a millionaire idea (yet), I haven't won any grammy's, I'm not a super model, I can't even draw, man! Heck! my biggest accomplishment was finishing my university studies and getting married to my better half.

I've always been kind of a loner, so I'm not very popular and sometimes I feel I haven't done nothing, but right now I know I have a crazy adventure ahead, a brand new fucking life and that's a good reason to start the rest of my life feeling awesome. Pin It Now!

Who is Kiri anyways? {48 days}

Thats kiri! A few years ago.

Since the beginning of time, in every bio I've had over the internet, I've written "You'll find out", sincerely because I’m too lazy to describe myself also to give some sort of mystery to the thingy, but yeah mostly laziness.

Who am I anyway?

The story behind my nickname is quite short; my dad started calling me KIRIKIRI when I was in my mother’s womb, practically only my family called me that way, my friends called me Mari (my first name is María if you haven’t figured out yet)

What happened? One day at school, my dad picked me up and when he saw me far away he had a brilliant idea: to scream “KIRIKIRIIIIIIIII” in front of my friends, it was kind of embarrassing. Next day everyone started teasing me with the kirikiri thing and what do you know? I was stuck with kiri ever since. By the way, I don’t know what kirikiri means.

Now that you know the “kiri” part, I might as well tell you the rest. I was born almost 25 years ago in Maracaibo, Venezuela, a town that thinks it’s a city; I got married 3 months ago. I studied advertising and public relations and I’m a photographer (I enjoy this the most). Lastly Im a tiny 5'1'' (155cm) chocoholic.

About my blogging: it’s something that I’ve always liked. I started blogging at wordpress with a blog called Güaierd in 2008 (it’s pronounced wired) it was a nonsense kind of blog. Then Tumblr came, where I still have kiriwantschocolate (I met my husband there) but it’s all images and randomness, lastly I started a blog for a contest where I didn't post anything and another blog where I showed how much I cannot draw, but got bored of it quickly (I don't like to draw anyways).

When Pinterest showed up, it introduced me to a whole new world of blogs that actually made sense and were beautiful, full of awesome content. Obviously I got inspired (most of my other blogs were started by boredom)

So I decided to make this blog, I’ve been planning it for a while; I guess it’s easier to start when you know where you want to go.

Here we go {50 days}

Me, Vancouver and my hubby

Hello, I’m Kiri but that’s not my name, it has been around ever since I can remember and most people don’t know me by my full name (that’s another story)

I’m thrilled to start ‘The Tiny Adventures of Kiri’ my lifestyle blog, a place where I’ll be posting things that I enjoy, 50 days before my husband and I leave this country to Canada. Actually today is day 50. Hopefully I’ll continue posting in Vancouver. I’m most likely to post 3 to 4 times a week fingers crossed.

This is not my first blog and surely won’t be the last, but I don’t know why I’m kind of nervous about this one, I guess it’s the most “serious” blog I’ve had.

I’ll probably cover some other topics I fancy, such as Photography, Traveling, Marketing (social media, advertising , PR and stuff) and Style. I’m also open to feedback, so if you want me to write about something or ask me anything you should totally go for it in the comments bellow.
